| | Heather Byrne, Independent Agent, says: | | Situated in a mountain farming village close to St Martin de Belleville in the Three Valleys with a south facing garden and terrace offering the most incredible, breath taking views across to Mont Blanc and the nearby mountain ranges. Look in the opposite direction and you see Cime de Caron, part of the Val Thorens ski area. Whilst in good condition and ready to move into it would benefit from someone with a good eye for detail who can take it to the next level of comfort. | The house is laid out on three floors with a good sized kitchen/diner on the garden level and a large lounge area above, both light and airy with great views. From the lounge you can access a large south facing terrace, whilst the kitchen leads directly to the garden which faces south east and gets the sun from early morning to early evening throughout the year. There is a master bedroom on the ground floor with a dressing room, with two further bedrooms on the top floor. In addition there is an office area, laundry room, and plenty of storage space and a garage. There is also a large cave de vin and a garden shed.
The house is in a sunny spot in the heart of this traditional village where the slower pace of life is in contrast to the vibrant and lively ski resorts just 10 minutes away. St Martin de Belleville is the nearest link into the Three Valleys ski area and Val Thorens, the highest ski resort in Europe, rests at the top of the valley extending the ski season from mid-November to early May due to its good snow conditions. It is a stunning area, lush and green in the summer, its mountain pastures brimming with flowers, offering great walking potential alongside a host of other summer activities to enjoy during July and August when the resorts are open. During the winter the village usually has snow from November to April but the roads are kept clear and access is no problem and it is a white and pristine tranquil haven again in contrast to the ski resorts which become a hive of activity as skiers arrive to make the most of this vast ski area.
