The nearest bigger village is Villebois-Lavalette about 8 minutes away.
Villebois-Lavalette has an excellent country supermarket, builder’s yard and a most delightful village centre, with a newsagents, banks, bakers, chemists, even antique shops and the beautiful covered market place, all overlooked by the château on the hill.
Angoulême is about twenty minutes up the road, which has everything you need.
The airports of Bergerac, Bordeaux, Limoges and Poitiers are easily accessible from this property. Also the TGV trains to Paris, Lille and London leave from the town of Angoulême
There is a strong rumour Angoulême airport will be doing European fights soon.
